Le lastre fotografiche sono relative ad Asia, Africa e Americhe; riproducono paesaggi di vario tipo, popolazioni locali, monumenti ed edifici importanti, attività agricole e industriali, opere dell’ingegno umano; riflettono anche gli interessi della geografia umana e dell’antropologia dell’epoca.
